Christina Burton(Camardo) - Director of Bands

Christina Burton joined the Taylor High School band staff in the summer of 2017. Mrs. Burton joined Three Rivers teaching elementary general music for grades K-2 and as the assistant band director for the 6th grade band, 7th grade band, 8th grade band, and high school marching band. Prior to joining the Three Rivers Staff, Mrs. Burton taught general music and band at St. Jude School from 2012-2017.  In Spring 2018, Mrs. Burton stepped into the role as Director of Bands.


Mrs. Burton also performs around the Cincinnati area as a member of the Ohio Military Band where she plays clarinet.

Education:
Mrs. Burton is a Cincinnati native and graduated from The University of Kentucky in 2012 where she earned her Bachelors of Music in Music Education with a clarinet concentration. While at The University of Kentucky, Mrs. Burton served as the Head Drum Major/Field Commander of the marching band. She also was an active member of the UK Pep Band.

Zack Strong - Assistant Director and Visual Director

Zack Strong joined the Taylor High School band staff in the spring of 2017.  Mr. Strong recently completed his tenure with the Glen Este High School Marching Band where he was the assistant director and show designer for five years.  He has been working with marching arts programs since 2009 in Kentucky and Ohio.  Mr. Strong has also been a member of the visual staff for local programs including Turpin High School and Finneytown High School.  Mr. Strong is the designer and director of the visual programs for the Yellow Jacket Marching Band and Guards.

Mr. Strong brought the Taylor HS Winter Guard back into competition in the winter of 2018 competing in MEPA and TMA.  In his time here the program has nearly doubled each season.


In the Fall of 2018, Mr. Strong will be assisting with 6th and 7th grade bands.

Training and Certification:

Mr. Strong is a trained adjudicator in ISSMA, KMEA, and serves on panels for Tristate Marching Arts and the Mid-East Performance Association during the winter seasons. Mr. Strong was selected to teach with the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy in 2012; a renowned program that trains hundreds of student conductors every year.  He has also served as a guest clinician for local programs aiding with their visual methods and color guards.


Daniel Groh - Percussion Instructor

Mr. Groh joined the staff in the summer of 2017 and oversees the marching drumline and front ensemble.  He also arranges our battery percussion music.

Philip Bracke-Color Guard Instructor

Philip Bracke joined the staff in the summer of 2018 as the color guard instructor.
